The proposed moderated newsgroup misc.business.credit will be opened
for discussion on all aspects of business credit.  Business credit
refers to but is not limited to:

A. Credit extended by a business to a business.

B. Money loaned by a bank, finance company or lending institution to
   a business.

C. Equipment leased by a leasing company to a business.

D. Domestic and international business credit
   transactions.

Topics could include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Secured and unsecured credit transactions.
- Letters of credit.
- Financial statement analysis.
- Bankruptcy laws and issues.
- Credit reporting agencies and their reports.
- Uniform commercial code.
- Using the internet to improve credit/collection operations.
- The economy and its effect upon credit/collection decisions.
- Federal regulations/laws that effect credit/collections.
- Measuring credit results and writing management reports.
- Case studies.

Other topics may be accepted at the moderators' discretion, with the
main criterian being of interest to the business credit group.

The misc.business.credit group will not be used in any way to discuss
specific businesses, unless the business in question has entered into
the public domain through discussions in newspapers, TV or radio,
magazines or other means of public communication.

The misc.business.credit group will not include postings that contain:

- Consummer or retail credit topics.
- Postings of a commercial nature, except notices of conventions,
  workshops or seminars where business credit is an issue.
- Opinions or statements which imply that another business is
  dishonest, fraudulent or immoral.
- Job placement or offerings.

All discussions will be held in English. A FAQ will be developed and
posted on a regular basis.
